Cate Clifford is a typically unaccompanied singer based in Rhode Island. With powerful vocals, sensitive harmonies, and engaging context gleaned from intensive study, Cate creates a vivid and accessible pathway to the songs she offers, the people and stories behind them, and the profound, timeless delight of sharing both. A proud member of AFM Local 1000, the Traveling Musicians Union, she has raised rafters and cracked hearts in homes, venues, festivals and recording studios on both coasts of the USA. She maintains that no set is immune to a dash of Sondheim or a sprinkle of Shakespeare.

Sarah Godwin Murdoch grew up in the Lehigh Valley but honed her performance skills on New York City stages at venues like The Sidewalk Cafe, Parkside Lounge, and The Knitting Factory. She’s gone on to perform at The Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Folk Music Society of New York, Godfrey Daniels, The Folklore Society of Greater Washington, and house concerts across the northeast, but folkies may remember hearing her big voice at TradMad or Exceedingly Good Song Night. Whether it’s singing one of her original songs or a 400-year-old traditional ballad, Sarah is able to channel the power and depth of singers from another era, while maintaining a contemporary edge.

This will be a split bill, not a duo act, so get ready for two great performances.
There will be a potluck before the concert, and an open sing after! Feel free to bring a snack for intermission.

Please stay home if you’re under the weather or don’t feel well.
