Volunteer setting up the sound system

Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Concert Food

Bring baked goods and beverages to our concerts at the First Parish in Watertown (Watertown, Massachusetts.) There is no obligation to provide food for every concert; occasional contributions are most welcome.

  • Sound Volunteers

Help set up, take down and/or run the sound equipment at our concerts, approx. 10 per year. Concerts are usually held in Watertown Square, and are usually on Saturday nights. Setup begins at around 6pm, and takes less than an hour. Concerts start at 8pm and vary in length, but are usually about 2 hours, so take-down is usually from 10-10:30pm. No experience with sound equipment is required; on-the-job training is provided. There is very little heavy lifting, and there are usually at least 2 people involved to lift the few heavy pieces of equipment.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact our volunteer coordinator at volunteers at fssgb dot org.
